Office 2016 & Windows 10 - Q&A

Got a burning question concerning Office 2016 or Windows 10?  We’ve set aside some time just to answer them!  Come during this session and ask questions concerning Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, Windows 10, or any other product installed on your computer.  If we can’t answer the question that day, we will definitely get you an answer and write documentation to be added to our knowledge base on the Work Order System. 

Coming Attractions: Office 2016

Come and explore the new version of Office which will be installed this summer on campus.  We will take a look at how things have changed and explore the new features.  We will take a brief look at all applications except for Outlook. Outlook will be covered in another workshop.  Registrations are required.

Word 2013: Tips & Tricks

Learn several shortcuts and other tips and tricks that will help you be a more proficient and productive user.  Also, bring your questions and we'll get you some answers!  Topics include:  edit & save PDFs, use SmartArt, embed videos, keyboard shortcuts for commonly used tasks, and Word's hidden calculator, etc.

Excel 2013: Advanced Functions

We will go over some more advanced functions (Nested IFs, AND, OR, PMT, LEFT, MID, RIGHT, VLOOKUP, and HLOOKUP) and the Formulas tab in MS Excel. This session is meant to help you feel more comfortable with functions you may have questions about. These functions may be beneficial to you and your Excel needs either at work or at home.

Requirements: Registration is required.

Prerequisite course: Excel 2013: Basic Functions.

Word 2013: Tables

If you aren’t using the “table” feature in Microsoft Word, you should be! Tables provide a very easy way to align text into neat columns, resulting in clean-looking, well-organized documents. In the workshop you will learn the different parts of a table; make a simple table; add, format, and sort data; and select and delete rows and columns. Requirements: Registration is required.

Prerequisite: Experience using Microsoft Word required.

Windows 7: Tips & Tricks

Discover how to use the features of Windows to create folders and organize documents, pictures, internet and other program files. Learn how to locate, move, copy and manage your files in the process. In addition to file management, we'll look at some cool features and answer the questions, "Where did they put it?". Also, bring your questions and we'll get you some answers! Topics include: file management, new features of calculator, use sticky notes, help reduce eye strain, quickly find anything on your computer, and keyboard shortcuts for commonly used tasks, etc.

Excel 2013: Basic Functions

Learn how to create formulas and basic functions (SUM, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX, COUNT, and more) in MS Excel and why these are better than simply typing (aka hard coding) actual numbers in a for a calculation. This session is meant to help you become more efficient with some of the basic functions in MS Excel.
