This interactive workshop, spread over three Fridays, will equip you with the knowledge and skills to implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in your classroom. Discover the core principles of UDL, explore its three guidelines (engagement, representation, and action and expression), and practical strategies and tools to create accessible and engaging learning experiences for all students. You'll also develop a personalized UDL action plan and collaborate with other educators to share best practices.

This workshop, held over three Fridays, will equip educators with the skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in their classrooms. You'll gain a deep understanding of each UDL guideline and learn how to apply them to your syllabi and course design. Each session will feature:

  • Principle Overview: Learn the foundational principles of the UDL guideline and explore its theoretical framework.
  • Syllabus & Course Design Application: Discover practical strategies and examples for incorporating the principle into your course syllabus and learning activities.
  • Action Planning: Participants will create a personalized action plan to implement the UDL principle in their own teaching context.
  • Technology Demos: Explore and experiment with technology tools and resources that support the UDL principle.
