Every year we recognize an employee for Excellence in Support Service Award. In response to a request from the Central Hub about how NC Community Colleges define excellence, we decided to use this as an opportunity to redefine Excellence at Durham Tech. Our work continues to evolve as we continually strive to support student success, so must our definition of what it means to be excellent be reexamined.

As teaching modalities and student needs change, so must our definition of what makes excellent instruction. We see this as a way of refining our standards and finding mechanisms for supporting faculty growth towards excellence. This work is central to our college's mission of supporting student success.
