Canvas Badges for Faculty

Canvas includes a simple badging tool that can be used to award students a "badge" for completion of a module in Canvas. Badges can be used to motivate students, recognize learning, or add an element of gamification to courses.

In this webinar, guest presenter Erin Mahoney-Ross (Learning Consultant at Instructure) will explain what "open badging" is all about and explore some reasons and ideas for using it. She will demonstrate how to create and issue badges, connect a badge to a module in Canvas, and keep track of who has received badges.
