Universal Design for Learning: From Theory to Practice

General description:

This interactive workshop, spread over three Fridays, will equip you with the knowledge and skills to implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in your classroom. Discover the core principles of UDL, explore its three guidelines (engagement, representation, and action and expression), and practical strategies and tools to create accessible and engaging learning experiences for all students. You'll also develop a personalized UDL action plan and collaborate with other educators to share best practices.

Fall 2024 Supervisor Bootcamp

Program Description: This program is designed to create a standardized framework for supervisors to work at Durham Tech. It uses a humanistic approach aligned with the Durham Tech learning competencies involving not only the operational aspects of being a supervisor but also the other aspects that include social, intellectual and practical skills required to be a supervisor.

MHFA Adult Blended Virtual Training

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a skills-based training course that teaches participants to identify, understand, and respond to mental health and substance use challenges.

Facilitators of the learning experience are Karen Mosley, Assistant Director, Student Engagement, and Dr. Letitia Johnson-Arnold, MS, CHES, NBC-HWC, CHWI Community Health Worker Coordinator/Instructor
