NC3ADL Virtual Conference - Online Together: We Are 58 Strong (Morning Sessions)

In celebration of National Distance Learning Week, Instructional Technologies will host a drop-in viewing location for NC3ADL’s Online Together: We Are 58 Strong virtual conference. This online conference reflects some of the shared values that are important to distance learning including: building community, fostering engagement, and being inclusive to everyone.

Curriculum Management: Making Changes to Your Credit Courses and Programs

This information session provides an overview of NCCCS curriculum standards, Program Revision Procedure, Curriculum Course/Program Termination Procedure, best practices for program design, and guidance for course maintenance (requisites, registration restrictions, capacities, etc.). Program directors are strongly encouraged to attend, and stay for the related subsequent training at 3:00 PM (CRSE and PROG Mnemonic Training) if they have not already completed it.

VOIP Phone Training - Open Forum

This will be a question and demonstration atmosphere. Stop by anytime during the session. I will have multiple phones available to demonstrate questions such as:

How do I transfer a phone?
How do I use the telephone directory button?
How do I set up my “out of office” message?
How do I forward my phone?

New VoIP Phone System

We will review the new FreePBX/Sangoma phone system and why we are switching to this new system. Topics include: using your phone, calling on and off campus, and setting up you Voice Mailbox. Followed up with Q&A that you may have.

Reserving Rooms Using Resource 25 (R-25)

Resource 25 (R-25) is the tool that is used to schedule rooms for classes, meetings, and special events across all Durham Tech campuses. In this training, you will learn how to search for available rooms, reserve rooms, and verify confirmed events. You will also learn what information is vital when making a room request and the important data that makes your event clear to the scheduler.

Flipped Classroom Training

Workshop will introduce staff to technology installed in flipped classroom 02-135. Time will be spent demonstrating how to use the laptops with the sharelinks & monitors installed in classroom.

CFNC Emailed Error Reports Processing

Session setup for Student Information and Records to train staff on how errors should be handled for CFNC applications.

Submitting Work Orders - Building Captains Only

Facility Services plans to go live with their new work order system on September 5, 2017. Class was offered to all building captains on how to submit new work orders via workorders.durhamtech.edu.
