Applying an Equity Lens to Policy and Procedure Development

Applying an equity lens is a process for analyzing the impact of policy and procedure design and implementation on under-served, marginalized, and diverse individuals/groups and identifying ways to reduce or eliminate barriers. During this interactive session, we will consider what we’re doing right and how we can improve. Participants will have an opportunity to review current policies and procedures and offer input on needed changes.

Appropriate Use of Data Policy Training

This training will provide an overview of the Appropriate Use of Data Policy and outline major changes - including changes for how to share student and employee data internally and externally. This training will a provide time for Q&A and data sharing solutions. Please bring your questions and scenarios.

This training will provide an overview of the Human Subjects in Research Policy, outlining the steps for employees at Durham Tech - and those external to the College - to engage in research on campus.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about the attestation process and learn more about the importance of sound records management.

This interactive workshop will provide valuable guidance and direction to council, committee, and association leadership and all interested employees. The focus of this year's training will be Robert's Rules of Order; Tom Jaynes will share tips for managing meetings effectively and inclusively.
